Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and ChefAce. By creating an account or using ChefAce, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required where you live, to use ChefAce. If you are under 18, you may only use it with the involvement of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password private. Do not let anyone else use your account.

You keep ownership of the recipes, photos, videos, comments and tips you post. By posting them you give ChefAce permission to store, display and share them inside the app so other cooks can see them.

You confirm that you own or have the right to post everything you upload, and that it does not break any law or anyone else's rights. We may remove content that breaks these terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful, and we may suspend accounts that repeatedly break them.

• Be respectful. No harassment, threats, hate speech, or personal attacks.
• No spam, repeated advertising, or bulk posting.
• No content that infringes someone else's copyright, or that is illegal or unsafe, including unsafe food handling advice.
• No misleading health or dietary claims, and no pretending that AI-generated text is professional advice.

• Do not scrape, copy, or bulk download content or data from ChefAce.
• Do not attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service or other users' accounts.
• Do not resell, sublicense, or misrepresent ChefAce or its content as your own.
• Do not misuse AI features, for example by using them to generate unlawful or harmful content.

• Prime costs $4.99 per month on the Monthly plan, or $39 per year on the Yearly plan.
• Both plans begin with a 7-day free trial, and both renew automatically until you cancel.
• Payments are processed by Base44 Payments. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to your chosen payment method.
• You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals, and your Prime features stay active until the end of the period you have already paid for. See our Refund Policy.
• We may change the price of a plan, and we will give you notice before a change applies to you. Taxes may apply depending on where you live.

Recipes on ChefAce come from a mix of our own collection and third-party sources such as Spoonacular, TheMealDB and YouTube. We do not own that third-party content, and it is provided as we receive it.

Store and butcher listings, their addresses, opening hours, ratings and dietary labels are gathered from public and third-party sources and can be out of date or incomplete. Halal and kosher certifications are issued by certifying bodies, not by ChefAce. Always confirm certification directly with the store before you buy.

Cost, nutrition, calorie and allergen information in ChefAce, and anything produced by our AI features, are estimates generated from available data and are not verified. They are not medical, dietary or safety advice. Always check product labels yourself and speak to a qualified professional about medical or dietary decisions.

The ChefAce name, logo, design, and software are ours or our licensors'. You may not copy, modify, or use them without our written permission.

We work to keep ChefAce running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may add, change, or remove features at any time, including features that are part of a paid plan.

ChefAce is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChefAce is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to it.

You may stop using ChefAce and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections about your content, liability and governing law continue to apply after your account ends.

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you by email. Continuing to use ChefAce after a change means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws that apply where ChefAce is operated, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction.
