Refund Policy
Last updated October 20, 2026
The short version
ChefAce Prime comes with a 7-day free trial, and you can cancel any time. If you cancel before the trial ends you are never charged. If you were charged by mistake, or something did not work the way it should have, email us at support@cheface.app within 14 days of the charge and we will make it right.
Free trial and renewals
Both Prime plans start with a 7-day free trial. You can cancel at any point during the trial and you will not be charged. If you do not cancel, the plan continues automatically after the trial: $4.99 per month for the Monthly plan, or $39 per year for the Yearly plan.
You can cancel at any time, before or after the trial. Cancelling stops all future renewals.
When we refund
We refund in full when:
- You were charged after you cancelled your subscription.
- You were charged twice for the same period.
- You were charged when the trial ended but you did not intend to continue, and you contact us within 14 days of that charge.
- A technical fault with ChefAce prevented you from using the features you paid for.
If you have used part of a paid period and simply changed your mind, we look at each request individually and may offer a partial refund. We will always tell you clearly what we can do.
How to request a refund
Email support@cheface.app with the email address on your ChefAce account, the date of the charge, and the amount. We reply to refund requests within 5 business days.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the original payment method. Payments are processed by Base44 Payments, so once we approve a refund it is issued through them and typically reaches your account within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel from your account, or by emailing us and asking us to cancel for you. When you cancel, your Prime features stay active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then the subscription ends. Nothing further is charged.
A charge you don't recognise
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. Nearly every unknown charge turns out to be a subscription that was started with a different email address, and we can usually sort it out faster than a dispute can. You can also review your charges and subscription status in the payment provider's dashboard, linked from the ChefAce editor under Payments.
Your rights
Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation right you have under the consumer law that applies where you live.
